We exhibited at the Laboratory Automation Developers Conference 2025 (LADEC2025), held at the Miraikan – The National Museum of Emerging Science and Innovation on September 25–26, 2025.
LADEC is an academic conference organized by the Laboratory Automation Association of Japan, a general incorporated association, dedicated to discussion, information exchange, and networking on the topic of laboratory automation (the automation of research).

At our booth, we demonstrated a custom benchtop automation solution combining the new model of our automated microscope "OpenScope" with a transport device.
The new OpenScope model features improved stage movement speed (capable of scanning a 96-well microplate in as little as 5 minutes), the addition of fluorescence observation functionality, and the addition of automatic magnification switching.
In the benchtop automation solution demonstration, we showcased a compact automation system developed to meet individual user requirements, presented through examples drawn from projects we have previously undertaken. We engaged in discussions with many researchers on topics including compatibility with any experimental setup using a combination of arbitrary instruments, custom development of applications for creating and monitoring experimental protocols tailored to researcher needs, the ability to scale up to larger systems, and integration with existing automation systems and workflows.
